The LearnAdapt Technical Blueprint v1.2 is now archived on Zenodo as a citable public technical resource.
A technical blueprint serves a different purpose from a research paper. It gives collaborators, researchers and developers a stable reference for the platform’s evolving architecture and design direction, while making it possible to identify the particular version that informed a discussion, implementation or study.
Two DOI levels for two citation needs
Zenodo provides a version-specific DOI for this exact release and a concept DOI that remains persistent across future versions of the resource.
- Use the version DOI when your work depends on or discusses Technical Blueprint v1.2 specifically.
- Use the concept DOI when referring to the LearnAdapt Technical Blueprint as an evolving resource across releases.
This distinction supports reproducibility without treating a living technical resource as if it were frozen permanently. Future releases can remain connected through the concept record while each archived version retains its own stable identity.
Why make the blueprint public?
LearnAdapt brings together work on pedagogical orchestration, teacher-authored applications, inspectable evidence, human oversight and specialised learning tools. Publishing the blueprint creates a shared point of reference for those conversations and makes it easier for collaborators to cite the relevant technical context directly.
